The Paths to Wholeness program is a perfect blend of Independence and Interdependence requiring a full-commitment by the participants and the community.

With an "I Will" pledge by each participant affirming their commitment to the program, as well as an "I Will" pledge from members of the community to support these citizens, this innovative transition program has the proven strategies, skills and general aid to ensure all participants leave the program with complete ability to excel.

To ensure that program participants remain on the right path, Paths to Wholeness offers continued support even after completing the one year in-house program.

Our Mission & Vision

Our mission is to effectively assist formerly incarcerated women with a preventive program for sustainable re-entry into the community through personal and professional development, as well as interventive and supportive programs and services.

Our vision is to help formerly incarcerated women develop, thrive, and successfully integrate back into society.

About Us

There was a need for a transitional home for formerly incarcerated women in the Midlands and Paths To Wholeness has met that need. An unprecedented number of prison releases occurred in 2020 due to the spread of Covid-19 and many of these formerly incarcerated individuals were without housing due to the economic state and limited job availability, crime did increase in many South Carolina localities.

At Paths to Wholeness, we are committed to empowering formerly incarcerated women to rebuild their lives and integrate successfully into society.  We are committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, treating each person with respect and fairness to empower them to develop their skills and reach their full potential. We believe that learning and growth are essential for both individual and organizational thriving.

I am excited to volunteer with Paths To Wholeness because I am directly able to use my skills and knowledge to help women and their families recover with the help of a skilled and compassionate community. I get to do my part. I am most excited and confident that the women who have been influenced and impacted by Paths To Wholeness will in return help create a more vibrant and strong community.

I decided to become a board member because...

Everyone deserves a second or even a third chance to improve their lives and to see life in a positive way. I see Paths To Wholeness as a means for women who have made mistakes that led to incarceration to have positive and supportive ways to get back on their feet. It also provides a way for these women to reunite with their families and learn how to have a productive life.

I decided to become a board member because...

After attending two major fundraising events hosted by Paths to Wholeness, I was so impressed by their vision and the stories told by their clients of the changes made in their lives. After each event, I felt a warm feeling of a close-knit family experience. When asked if I would be interested in being on their board it didn’t take long to say, “I will be delighted”.

Founder and CEO

I decided to become a board member because...

Becoming a member of the Board for PTW provides me with the opportunity to continue to be relevant in a space that means a lot to me. I have a heart for what happens to them after incarceration. I started my career in corrections working with women as the Former Warden of a Reentry facility and Retired Deputy Director of Programs and Reentry of SCDC. I also feel that I was asked to be a member and I feel I have a wealth of knowledge that I can share in this space.

Bernice Tribble

This is a completely new service offered to women at a crucial time in their lives. Women who want to improve themselves should take advantage of this opportunity.

Randall Williams

Retired SCDC Regional Director & Warden
South Carolina Department of Corrections

I decided to become a board member because...

As a former warden, I know that reentry programs are essential and help ensure successful rehabilitation and reintegration of citizens released from prisons into their communities. I believe that Paths To Wholeness will allow me to use my resources and influence in service, as the Bible instructs. Since God has greatly blessed me, I earnestly want to be a blessing to others.

Our Founder

Reverend Doctor Minnie Anderson is the founder of Paths to Wholeness. She has obtained a B.S. in Management and Marketing, M.A. in Religion and Pastoral Counseling and Doctorate in Ministry.

Her hope for Paths To Wholeness lies in its ability to help incarcerated women who have been abused become self-sufficient citizens while reducing recidivism. Through the love of God and the support of the community, she is a survivor of domestic abuse. Her aspiration is that each woman in the program will experience the same love and support.
